The KFC Hack- A- Preneur Competition was a competition run by KFC to identify up and coming innovators, hustlers and hard workers with the goal to reward the ultimate HACK-APRENUER with business funds, PR exposure and 1:1 coaching from Yanda Innovation Consultants (YIC).
Our Involvement: YIC was brought onboard as an Enterprise Development Strategy Agency to assist with the crafting of the competition mechanics and SMME prizes. We were also selected as the Coaching/ Mentorship Agency for the top three competition winners over a three month period.
Results/Outcomes: Coaching Emily Oliphant through the successful Rebrand of her business Armour Melanin Care Business Model and scaling of Bohlale Buzani’s Business: 2021 Mandela Washington Fellow.
Strategic Artwork Packaging – SC Johnson Nixoderm in Nigerian market.
Our Involvement: Concept to print ready. Which included market research, claims development, desktop trademark search for regulatory approval and concept development, to deliver insight driven Packaging.
Results/Outcomes: Successful re-brand and launch of Nixoderm Soap Range, featuring consumer centric packaging.


The Sasol Business Incubator (SBI) was developed through a public-private partnership between Sasol and the Department of Trade and Industry (the DTI) to accelerate the successful development primarily of local start-up small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs).
Our Involvement: YIC was approached to Design, Develop and Implement an ESD Programme for selected SMME’s within the Business Incubator. Additionally, we developed a holistic programe which included training /workshops , 1:1 Coaching and Strategy Development.
Results/Outcomes: Retail launch of Belle Hair Care into Spar Franchise in EC and Free State.
Kellogg’s is one of the worlds leading cereal manufacturers. They aim to meet their consumers evolving needs by keeping abreast of trends consistent innovation.
Our Involvement: YIC is the Innovation Agency responsible for Kellogg’s Pipeline Development , Innovation Strategy and Implementation with the Kellogg’s team.
Results/Outcomes: Successful launch of Kellogg’s Granola LE which helped portfolio gain 16% Market Share withing 1st month of launch. Successful launch of Kellogg’s Coco Pops Fills Innovation Successful launch of Fruit Loops Line Extensions that saw Kellogg’s kids gain market share within kids portfolio.


YIC facilitated the “Pitch and Win” Programme and Competition for SMME’s at the Sasol Business Incubator.
Our Involvement: YIC facilitated the “Pitch and Win” Programme and Competition for SMME’s at the Sasol Business Incubator. SMME’s were trained on how to do successful business pitches to potential customers , investors and consumers. A competition was held where the successful winner won a Digital Strategy and Coaching Sessions with Yanda Innovation Consultants.
Results/Outcomes: Some of the SMME participants used their skills obtained from the workshop to acquire new clients.
The Innovation Hub (TIH) is the innovation agency of the Gauteng province responsible for conceptualisation and implementation of innovation programmes as well as full development and operation of The Innovation Hub Science and Technology Park (TIH STP) located in Tshwane.
Our Involvement: YIC was appointed as the Branding and Marketing Agency responsible for coaching and mentoring SMME’s in developing their 12 month Marketing Strategies.
Results/Outcomes: Achieved 300% increase in sales and international orders (A first for our company) Packaging Rebranding and success resulted in purchased Vehicle & 5 staff members.


The Sasol Siyakha Trust was established in 2007 by Sasol South Africa (Pty) Ltd to make investments in acceptable and viable B-BBEE Enterprises which are or are in the process of becoming contractors or suppliers to the Sasol Group.
Our Involvement: YANDA Consulting was appointed to develop GROWTH Marketing Strategies for SMME’s in the Mining Sector. Through 11: Coaching we were able to deliver a Need Gap Analysis, Growth Strategies and a Sales Strategy for the Mining Cohort that were a part of the program.
Results/Outcomes: One of the Women Led businesses Gained 1 new client since the strategy, employed 3 more people , revamped their website amp with increased online impressions and launched a LinkedIn page achieving 96 followers within 2 months of launch.
